Ugh, it was awful, humans! I was in my carrier, enjoying a burrow in some hay, and suddenly we were moving! And then stopping, then moving, then we stopped and the human took me out and another human was holding me and prodding me. IT WAS HORRIBLE. I squeaked in annoyance but still she poked at me, even my bits! Humans have no manners. She did give me some strokes, and said words like "impaction" "young pig" "critical care" and gave the human a sachet and syringe. When I finally got home, Godfrey gave me a sniff and asked where I'd been. He agrees that it was horrible. I have a feeling the human will try and feed me whatever is in that sachet. Ha! As if.
She might post some pictures when I've "settled back in", which means when she can be bothered, lazy hooman.
I'm just glad to be home! I think it was just a small problem pooping, and the humans will keep an eye on me. And I'll keep an eye on them!

Poor you Duncan.
I have also been to that vet place, and it is NOT fun at all.
Like you I also like to let out the odd wheek to let everyone know how unhappy I am.
Plus when they weigh you the scale is all cold and unpleasant - at home I get wrapped in a fleece blanket when I get weighed.

When I went I didn't even get given a sachet of food - maybe it is blueberries - please report back about that part so I know if it is worth squealing for food next time we visit the vet.

Hope you feel better very soon (make sure you demand extra treats for a few days too).

Love Eddi x

Hello Eddi! The human tried to syringe feed me! It was awful. She had filled the syringe with whatever was in the packet and tried to lift my head and feed it in the side of my mouth. Well, I wasn't having any of that! We eventually reached an agreement- she would hold the syringe while I ate from the top. It wasn't that awful, actually. But it was brown, and some got on my nose. She seems to have forgotten that it's lunchtime, so Godfrey and I are politely deafening her with wheeks.
And it definitely has no blueberries in! Hmmf, the bit on my nose does NOT go with my fur. The human tried to wipe it off but I had to put a stern paw on her. Maybe she'll try again with it, it wasn't as bad as I thought. Maybe even nice. Now where's our lunch?!
Sending nuzzles and bluberries

Hi Duncan, Willow here!
I'm sending wheeky vibes after your traumatic experience, it really is awful isn't it?!? It totally sucks that the hoomans can do this to us, I mean, they don't even ask if we want to visit this vet thing, NO consideration for us when we might just rather bury in hay or (in Marble's case) annoy our cagemate. Therefore, I find the most effective counter action for this horrific impedance is to shout VERY loudly, squirm A LOT so that slave thinks we might leap out of vet's hands (they deserve this anxiety by this stage to be honest) and wee and poop an embarrassing amount. This has two results: we make our unhappiness well known (seriously, you want to prod my bottom and get away with it?) and the slave gets an overwhelming build up of guilt (which they totally should do, do they not know who we are?) and if nothing else this is to be exploited for treats.

I've never had any of this sachet stuff (ooh, do tell us what it's like, especially if it tastes like kale - I love kale!), but mum did hand feed me some of Marble's poops just after my op and they were delish. Syringes are horrid - they don't taste of kale or even peppers (which I hate but secretly eat anyway) so I don't see the point of them. If your slave insists on this syringe stuff, do train them to make it worth your while with treats, cuddles, whatever does it for you (crucially you need to insist on more treats and cuddles than Godfrey gets, to offset the horror!).

You'll get through this, you brave boy, but rest assured I've been through this kind of slave insolence and with a bit of training, your slave should be able to make this work for you!

Sending Duncan lots of healing vibes

Poor Duncan. It may have been embarrassing, but I'm sure your human slave only wants the best for you x
