Just seen another post recommending dustfreehay.co.uk. Prices look good - should I order soft hay bales for my two piggies or a combo pack of Timothy & Soft hay? Usually get P@H stuff, but need to move on now that we've got to grips with looking after the piggies and what they love. They bed down on newspaper, shavings and a little hay, but really just like sleeping in their soft fluffy beds. Adore munching their hay and loads (and I meal loads) of veggies. What would be the best combo to go for from an online retailer? Thanks for your help x

I use vet bed for bedding and just ordered new portion of hay.I use vetuk long time and my order was:

2 x Burgess Excel Birch Bark Herbage 500g £5.26
2 x Burgess Excel Chamomile Herbage 500g £5.26

I have had both the soft hay and timothy hay from dustfreehay company, the quality of the hay is excellent and the soft hay is how it says (soft), the timothy hay is more stalky but well loved for munching on too, both types smell gorgeous, the guy that sells it is very fussy about quality, so you won't go far wrong.

have you tried hay for pets? their soft hay is lovely and soft. i use it in ches and maisie's hay area, and they also have the timothy and rye to eat aswell.

I have bought both. I've just bought some stalky to try as well, but previously they got soft daily and timothy a few times week. Mine love it and when I ran out last time they wouldn't touch cheap bagged stuff anymore. Gits. I order it 10 boxes at a time now as it's so much cheaper overall!

Me and the piggles are quite lucky as we have a local feeding store that sells good quality hay from lots of different farms! It's good because we don't have to order anything off the internet! :)

I get my hay straight from a farm. The woman I get it from has a meadow set aside for bailing hay & it's top quality, far fresher than the boxed or bagged type. She bails it for her horses & sells the excess. 4 bails a year does for all my girls. There's no dust to notice & it has a lovely smell. The girls love it & because it's so cheap, £4 a bail they have it for bedding on top of Megazorb. It's a 20 mile round trip but well worth it.
