I currently use pets at home shaving for my Guinea pigs. I am aware that wood shaving can be bad because of the dust and how the guinea pigs react to it. I was wondering if anyone knows if pets at home do extract the dust like it says in the packaging or is it just money making?

If they say they are dust extracted, then they will be dust extracted but it doesn’t mean there won’t be any dust - some may still remain.
If they are still coming out dustier than you would like, it may be worth trying something else.

No it not that dusty at all I was just checking what they are saying is true, plus my Guinea pigs hasn’t shown signs of an allergy.
Thank you for the info

Allergies are rare in piggies. I use the shavings and rub them between my hands when I transfer them to a container. There is a little dust that comes off which I react slightly to. I usually try and wear a mask when using it.
