Hi there, guys!

I know a lot of you guys use a site called DustFreeHay in order to get your hay for piggies (and rabbits!) And I was looking into trying them myself! But looking at it..it's quite expensive, so I wanted to ask more experienced members first to see those who have tried it before, and what you guys think.

Reading into it, apparently they're a REALLY good brand of hay which is dust free, and the hay is supposed to be that of good quality? I'm just trying to work out if it's better quality hay which is better value for money for my piggies!

I usually buy a 1KG (Ish, the bag sizes aren't marked) soft hay bag for £2.10 from my local Merediths - and this goes within a week, perhaps less! Especially since I got the rabbit eating it as well.
I was browsing the site and was considering buying one pack of soft hay to test it out, but I just wanted to know the rough sizing of each pack? I can't seem to work that one out at all! Looking at the 5 Packs, it seems that each bag is roughly 2KG if the overall weight is somewhere between 10-12KG...

As you can see, I suck at maths, and to cut this story down I just want to know your experiences and opinons on if this is a good quality hay and it's good value? Working out numbers, if I'm right and the "Packs" are 2KG, then it should work out about the same or even cheaper and I'm really tempted to give this a try, more so if it means my piggies get nicer hay!

I buy from here occasionally. It's usually good quality hay.

I think we had a post from a member who had a poor batch . It is a natural product so, this does happen sometimes . There used to be a video clip on the site showing someone opening a pack - to demonstrate how much a pack had in it . - isn't the clip there any more ?

I use the hay for pets website - £18 for 9.5kg and have never had a problem with it.

I use Hay for Pets too. It's nice to get some from Dust Free occasionally - for a change !

:D I have used Dust free Hay occasionally. The hay is usually of very good quality and my piggies like it. I do not know the weights of the small boxes, as I always buy a large bale which is 6.5 kg. for £21.00. (They have recently increased their prices.)
A large bag from H4P is 9.5 kg for £18. So not that much between them now.

Can't say I have ever used them, not had to as H4P has been so good. Is dust free hay more expensive too?
I think it is a bit more expensive. I buy it in the boxed sets and it is much more convenient to store.

I am a regular buyer of the Ings hay from Hay for pets and always buy the 9.5kg bags. I have tried the dust free hay twice and been perfectly happy with it but it was more expensive than hay for pets so couldn't really justify it. In terms of quality and piggies liking it they have both gone down just as well as each other with our lot. I would switch if dust free hay was cheaper. Probably if they cost exactly the same I would choose hay for pets.

Dust free hay is a godsend for me and my piggies! We buy the half bale of soft hay for £21 and depends when ordered can be delivered next day :)

I love dustfreehay and have been using them for many years. Their hay is so sweet and soft it's amazing. I buy five bales of soft hay, they charge 29.99 for 5 very tightly packed bags and you get a lot of hay for that. They may be a little expensive but the quality is so good I would rather they have the best. The last two batches have been exceptional and my guineas won't eat much else now... Spoilt!

I have had one or two bad patches but over the many years I have been using them, I cannot complain.
