Dusty was xrayed again this morning and the confirmation was he had a ruptured diafram , he was operated on this afternoon and they found it was more serious, as the whole diafram had detatched fron the muscle wall and his liver had pushed up into his lungs so his breathing was so bad!
The vet has worked a miracle! Dusty has survived and the next 24hrs are crucial ! Hes not in the clear just yet!
The vet has earned her place in heaven as far as I'm concerned!
I have been a complete mess for the last 36 hrs, thank you so much for your kind messages, it has meant a lot over the last day!

That's such good news.
I did think about you today and sent some loving and healing thoughts.
I know it's still a very critical time so I'll keep sending for you :laluot_29:

Oh wonderful news. I had been checking your other thread buy luckily just saw this one. You must be so happy and relieved. Hurray!

Aww, I'm glad to hear the op went well. I hope he recovers well! Poor lad.

Thanks for all your wonderful messages, Dusty had a comfortable night and has to have his Chest drained over the next few days! But hopefully he will be home soon! :)

So pleased the op went well, am keeping everything crossed for a good recovery.

Oh wonderful news. I hope he is home with you soon. His brother must be missing him so much.

All the best, amazing vet, I keep fingers :laluot_29:crossed, Henry and Ian keep their paws crossed. What a brave piggy! And poor you, I know what I am like in those situations, so big hug from the NorthWest!

Dusty is home! He had 100ml of air drained from his Chest cavity this morning and 3 injections, pain relief and antibiotics, he has a slight temperature so he's going back in the morning again, but I have jt seen him try to wash himself, so that's a good sign! He's not really eating or drinking much at all which is a worry, but they said hes not dehydrated! Still not out of the woods yet but the clearing is insight.... I'm just not ready for him to go over that bridge yet!

Oh it is wonderful to have him home. I am so pleased. It is a great sign he is able to clean himself too.

Glad the vet was able to fix him up....and that so far hes recovering well. Bet hes up and running around before * know it. Sending healing wheeks from my two boys
