She was my first piggie and she was very much loved.
She came in to my life with another piggie named Truffle in April 2002 at around the age of 2 months.
She was a very nervous piggie that was hiding in the corner of her cardboard box.
It soon became apparent this piggie had a naughty and cheeky streak haha.
She loved to run around the living room making you chase her from behind the sofa and racing Truffle up the stairs.
When they reached their 3rd year Truffle had to go for an operation as she had stones in her bladder and unfortunately she didnt survive 24 hours after =(
Dusty became very lonely and started to become depressed and I feared I was going to lose my friend too....
But one day something twigged in Dusty's mind that told her "hey I have the full cage now and get all the veg and food for myself!" and she perked right up and became the best piggie Ive ever known.
Very loving and human friendly, but only to women
Apart from my friend Mickey whom she adored.
She's what I call a 'snuggly' pig =]
Around her 7 year old mark Dusty became very stiff and lazy and I knew it wouldnt be long before she went to the rainbow bridge =(
She would still lay for hours with me and snuggle as close as she could manage - this often included up my clothes!
But on April 8th 2009 Dusty left for the bridge.
She is very missed and will always be loved forever.
Run free my baby <3 x
