Can I ask how you do it?

Flopsy has one very manky ear

with unscented baby wipes. It's not popular!

I've only cleaned Bo's ears so far. The girls have stick up mouse ears and they seem to keep cleaner than Bo's floppy ears

I use Otodex Veterinary Ear Drops:

2 drops in each ear, left for 24 hours then cleaned using a damp cloth or very carefully cleaning the parts of the ear with a cotton bud. I tend to clean the ears each time they are bathed, every two months.

A gentle wipe around with a cotton bud is more than adequate, those warnings about never put anything into the ears, animal or human, are best ignored. Apply common sense!
