Remy's brown ear is not hard as a rock, flakey, and looks scabby. I don't know if maybe she was just digging it to much, or if she has mites or whatever else?

Help.

I've had two pigs and she's my third. I've never experienced this. I applied vasaline to it last night so hopefully its just dried skin. Also Ella, who is her house mate is fine. If it was mites, wouldn't it have spread to her?

It's very unusual for a pig to have "just" dry skin. It could be mites or a fungal infection or both. Mites need to be treated with ivermectin, fungal with either Nizoral shampoo/miconazole cream or products from www.gorgeousguineas.com. In in doubt, take your pig to a vet.

The CocoNeem Melt from GG is good for dry ears. Ear mites can be treated with Otodex available from pet shops or SPH Supplies Treating with Otodex won't do any harm if there are no mites but use 48 hours before or after using a Melt :)

As DSL says Ivermectin could also me needed.

Now ella's ears are starting to get icky. I'm taking them to the vet. Ouch it's going to be expensive.

Icky? :) Are they oozing? Can you explain 'icky' please :) Where are they getting 'icky' inside or out?

The vet gave me some medicine for inside and out. Ella's ears are scabby on the inside, remy's one ear is scabby and hard on the outside and inside, they are oozing a bit.
