I noticed while posting Smudge's tribute that his ears pointed up and Smokey and Bacon's ears are both pointed down, does anybody else have a piggy like this? I'm not very observant so if it is normal I probably just didn't notice...

Up or down ears depend on their size and weight. Babies have upstanding butterfly ears but as they age the growing ears will start to flop once gravity is taking over. Piggies with really large ears have the floppiest ears.

I love the very short stage most when some babies are just on the verge of flopping and have one upright and one floppy ear.

This might sound silly but I thought all piggies had floppy ears. I've never heard of sticking up ears! I have to say though..... They're so cute! :D

Not silly at all! I thought some piggies had “up” ears and some had “down” ears 😁

As Wiebke was saying (most?) babies have up ears, and Smudge was a baby, so maybe he just didn’t live to the stage his ears would flop at, I think he was a runt because he was always smaller (still bossier!) than Smokey and Smokey’s ears were always up.

Don’t even know if that made any sense! 🙈🙉🙊
