hi people

i just been looking at davids ears properly and one of them looks really chewed round the edges. iv never noticed how bad its chewed before. he goes live on his own now and has done for about 5 months after fighting with craig. iv never really looked at his ear before properly and didnt realise it was so chewed.

i then thought could it be ear mites or something? could anyone help me out with symptoms?

i must admit he has got no symptoms just has a chewed round the edge ear that i seem to of only just noticed xx

It was probably Craig when they were together :) one of my piggies Branston fell out with his bother Tyson (they are now seperate) and you should see poor Branston's ears

Ragged edges are due to chewing, which is not uncommon.

thanks people its put my mind at rest. i always think its better to check things out as i thought they look rather chewed bless him xx

I agree. Funnily enough my Meg, perhaps my most disagreeable sow, has the most rugged ears of my lot. A few have pristine edges to their ears, but most don't!
