Hi Everyone. My Guinea pig has developed a small crusty area on the very edge of his ears and he appears to find it slightly painful. I think that he could have scratched them whilst cleaning himself but am also concerned that it may be mites. His coat is very very clean and no sign of infestation at all anywhere else. His ears inside are clean too. Can someone advise please.

ears are a common place for fungal, with mites you'd be more likely to find hair loss (although you can also get hairloss with fungal)
