Earwig hutch invasion for the second year running!

The hutch is less than 3 years old. I don't really want to power hose my hutch as it may disintegrate. A good idea though.

Eeep I feel for you! Mind you we had mice living in our unoccupied hutch and run! I left it for a year after my last rabbit died and they moved in. They were helping themselves to Oatcakes in my kitchen cupboard too until I moved everything into plastic boxes.

Anyway - I wondered if spraying the hutch with CSJ Skinny spray might help? It’s a natural repellent so much safer than the usual insect repellents.

CSJ Skinny Spray - 250 ml

Not sure essential oils are good for piggies.

I meant for the outside of the hutch, not for the inside or on the actual pigs! I was only trying to help?! Whatever.

At last I think I am coming to the end of the invasion of earwigs!:yahoo::yahoo:My piggies haven't been cleaned out for 2 weeks as I was on holiday, I came back late last night and this morning they were cleaned out and I only saw 2 earwigs, 1 in the bottom of the hutch and the other in the top. I have been thoroughly hoovering it every week for around 8 weeks now and the little blighters are almost eradicated from the hutch. A couple more weeks should do it. It's been a long haul but worth it. Hopefully by next week I won't be finding any in the hutch.:)
