My pigs have been eating £5 odd a kilo burgess marigold and dandelion hay for 2 weeks as I've been working such stupid hours I've not been able to get anything else so have been getting it from work.

Yesterday I picked up a huuuge bag of farm hay for £1.80 thinking they werent going to touch it after the luxuries of burgess hay but nope! Cameo and Jeff decided that pop corning in circles around their pile of hay for 15 mins was the thing to do! It was pure hilarity! Was like their take on dancing around the may pole!

Cheap hay wins I think!

DITTO so would Velvet and Onyx..... they adore their greeeeen spaghetti
 
Oh mine too - I got the Burgess because it's s'posed to be better for their teeth but they just eat more of their haycakes ( meadow grass ) and lie all over the Burgess ( grrrr!) when I do that!
I now have a big bale of that bavarian mountain hay which they prefer ( and a bit of Burgess in their treat balls if they fancy a nibble ) .
And of course grass is by far and away their favourite food over all the expensive veggies you can but at the shops!
I was quite miffed the other day when they hardly touched the organic brocolli stems I'd got them because they were on offer - they'd been stuffing themselves with grass all afternoon and ruined their appetites! ;)
