When I got home today the cage was mayhem.

The straw tunnel I bought for them had been dragged into middle of the cage and massive chunks missing.

The rainbow woodblock bridge thingy has been knawed to death and also the wicker basket I got which was a naturals one (from P@h) with treats in has one of the long sides missing.

I have a feeling it was george that did it all and am worried as not much of the missing bits are there all but one strand of the basket was swallowed and all the wood he nibbled has been eaten too.

I know all of this stuff is supposed to be safe but worried about the amount he has eaten in one day (if it was him that ate it all as tiger may have helpt). He is sat in the playpen nibbling on the wooden bridge thingy now!

He / they do not normally nibble or destroy this much I am worried about whether he is ill or is he just bored? He doesn't even normally chew the kitchen roll middles I stuff with hay normally he just eats the hay from inside!

Will he get ill as a result and should I take the basket away or is it harmless fun?

went to p@h today to check what basket was made of and is willow. Is this ok to eat big amounts of and swallow them?

My piggies love to chew on willow balls & must eat it because i never find any "evidence" :)

I am such a worrying mum thanks for the advice! Notice today one of them seems to be doing slightly red wees so maybe there is a problem. Going to try separating them for a bit tomorrow night to see which one it is and maybe then I will know if it is a problem! 8...

I bought one of them wicker natural treat baskets from P@H it didnt even last the night - my four girlies ate that before the stuff inside it.

I think it is fairly safe mine love wicker bits and like yours will eat anything in sight, newspaper, cardboard, wicker everything they all seem fine
