Oh thank the lord...my piggies have found their love of fresh food again ;D ;D

We were having real problems getting them to eat any greens or fresh veg last week. On a recommendation we bought them some pak choi this week. They absolutely yum it down! Great advice...they're eating like troupers again now :) :)

Does make them pee quite a bit tho :o

oh good..is there something up with piggies this week?

my shakey went right off his fresh food but was eating hay and dry, ..i started syring feeding as he lost weight through not eating properly.. think he must have though grr if i dont eat that woman will feed me again! he's been picking up with his eating and last night i got him to eat cabbage and peas aswell as carrot :) and his weight had gone up..ps dont worry if it happens again or his weight doesnt improve i shall go to the vets :)

Maybe they just go through moods of not fancying it? I mean, mine were defo eating lots of dried and hay. Plus grass in the run when they could get out...just wouldn't touch their fresh dinner.

One thing my mum suggested, and dunno if this is true, was to not wash the veg. She reckons with all the floods we've had that they are putting extra chemicals in the water to protect against bacteria. Maybe the piggies can smell it and don't like it? I haven't washed the veg this week, and they're eating again...

Could just be a coincidence tho...?

i never thought off it that way :-\ i always wash my veg thinking of the pestacides they use on the veg. Just off topic for a mo, did anyone see the program about how much chlorine they put on prepackaged salads....was awful, i was so shocked. Makes you think what happens to food before you buy it at the supermarket. :o

Urrggh doesn't even bear thinking about! You can see why organic is so much better for you eh? Pity i don't earn an organic style wage tho ::)

i dont wash any of the veg my lot eat anyway..unless its really soily, or has a few dead flies in like the cabbage..i was celery but thats a it.

he seems to be eating back to normal again now, i was getting really worried!

Mine have been a bit off theirs as well, I thought I was giving them too much and thats why they were not eating it all. They normally go bonkers for romaine lettuce but they have been leaving it. Maybe they get a bit bored with the same taste but I vary their salad and veg a lot so I dont know :-\ My herbs arent really growing now either :(
