Eating Millet...

I have 3 guinea pigs and 2 cockatiels which share a shed and an aviary. My cockatiels love millet and they peck at it quite vigorously. Today, I found stevie (my boar) eating the millet and he seemed to love it. I took it off him straight away and I just want to know if it is safe for Guinea pigs and is it normal for them to like it?
 
i'm sure i watched a youtube video recently where millet was mentioned. it was in one of those carrot wood roll chews i think. can't remember exactly. i wouldn't feed it personally but i don't know much about it :)
