Eating more than usual

Hi all, I’ve noticed that my piggies are eating at least double the amount of hay to what they usually eat. I know they can have as much hay as they want but is this anything to worry about? I usually mix in small bits of forage so maybe they just really like that

Must be really nice hay.
Seriously I don’t know if it’s a possible issue but a health expert can answer that but if all your piggies are stuffing themselves then it’s possibly just extra nice hay.

Could be very nice hay, or maybe its the colder weather? Tallulah skinny pig insists that she needs 3 billion extra calories every day if the thermostat drops 1 degree! How do their weights look lately?
Eating extra hay doesnt sound like a cause for concern at all, as long as they drink plenty water and/or get enough wet veg to go with it- but sometimes extra wet veg will also prompt more hay eating too- so maybe if they had extra lettuce or cucumber they might want some extra hay to balance things out!

Aww little tallulah Their weights are stable and their veg is the same as it’s always been. Bruno drinks a lot as he always has and Ozzy drinks enough. Don’t think aanything has changed apart from the fact that they won’t get out of the hay tray

Yesterday, The Ever Beautiful Betsy dived under loads of hay in the morning and stayed there eating her way out. In the evening there were only 2 or 3 strands covering her. In the morning I couldn't find her as she was hidden.

Piggies can't overeat on hay - the more the better!
But I notice mine eating noticeably more if it is a really nice batch!
