eating noises

is it just me or is there something satisfying in listening to no squeeking just crunching and nibbling noises when youve just fed your piggies veggies etc..i love the noise
 
think of the sound x 20 thats my boys crunching muching their way through the veggies I take it as a sign of good health,

a bag of carrots and a cabbage crunched up and cut into bits for them all
 
i love it at night when everyone has gone to bed and i turn out the boys and girls light and it's lovely to hear them all munching, you can just feel the excitement in them as they work their way through their dishes.

i love to listen to all 24 of mine, you imagine them to be so contented and when they've had a good feed you see them all stretched out, their bellies full :) and their ready for a good sleep.

as for quantities of food, I'd hate to think. there is no room in the fridge for my food :D and I'm sure they are eating more at the moment and the shopping bill has certainly gone up 8)

what makes me laugh is the effort we all go to...

fluffy has to have strawberries, not alot of my girls eat them and there about £2 a tub...

baby likes baby carrots and has to have the leaves off the celery, so i have to search through the celery at the shop to find the ones with the most leaves.

baby, buddy and gizmo like their cucumber in chunks, the rest eat it as it comes.

the boys like their grapes and tomatoes cut in half

when i start to think it about it's my boys that are fussy and i suppose spoilt, the girls just seem grateful for what they get.

i love giving the girls cucumber, they all line up at the door waiting for it to open and then grab and run, so funny to watch them. :)doesn't it just show how they all have their own characters..............
 
It's interesting to hear about the quantities, I only have 5 and get through quite a lot, so times that by 4 or 5, wow! When I'm walking round the supermarket I often think my trolley looks really healthy compared to a lot of other peoples, and then when I'm unloading at the checkout I'm thinking, that's for the guineas, that's for the guineas and so on ... (and I'm vegetarian which makes it worse!)

LOL That made me laugh when my OH looked in the fridge the other day he said is there nothing but green stuff in here ! reminded me of that scene from Men behaving Badly when Dorothy had moved in and Tony returned and opened the fridge singining with his guitar,! Anyone remember that ?(or am i showing my age !)

Mine have loads of veg being 6 of them they get through the stuff really quick i always wonder whether they have enough !

same here my hubby always says dont think we are that healthy, its guinea pig food they eat better then we do lol
 
hah dad was like that the other day " is all this fruit and veg for my tea/dinner etc " nope sorry tis for the piggies...mwahahah shame ;D ;D
 
Try listening to 96 piggies all munching away happily ;D. I like listening to them eating grass and hay. Its the same with the horses tho, there's something about listening to them eating their hay.

wow 96 ;) so cool but i imagine expensive as well in all ways but worth every penny.

when my trolley is full of veggies, i always imagine that the person on the check out is thinking all that veg and she is still fat ;D
 
haha ,mum and I went to get some veggies the other day and the girl on the check out said " someones doing some healthy eating" then priced thru a box of 12 cream eggs.......

all we said was ,the piggies get their veg and fruit 5 a day healthy eating,mum and I get our cream eggs 12 a day dirty eating ;D

I love the noise when they hear the back door go and know your coming! Piggy chorus in full flow :) Then you open the door and they are all up at the front waiting impatiently, not believing me when I saw I'm going quick as I can but if they don't get down I can't open the door ;D
 
Mine shout for food, then sit in a circle waiting for it, with their darling velvetty noses in the air. :)
 
Moans? Are you ill-treating that guinea pig? Do you think he should come and live with me?
