Today is a beautiful day, in the 70s (24 in Celsius? ) I let my piggies spend some time on the frest grass outside while I cleaned their cage.
Wondering, how long can they be eating fresh grass and dandelion leaves? They are making happy noices, but I don't want them to eat too much of they aren't suppose to.

If it's their first time on the grass- not long. If they eat too much, without having built up gradually, they may get bloat. I usually start mine off with grass by hand cutting some a couple of times a week, then gradually build up to every other day, and finally every day, so by the time the weather is suitable for them to be outside, they're used to the grass. It was a beautiful sunny day here too, but to be honest I wouldn't put my own piggies out yet because the ground (and grass) is still very wet here.

Thanks!
They haven't been out this season. They were out last year. The ground here is actually really dry (in Kansas) we have a do not burn warning out. We just started getting green in the yard, so I thought they would like the yummies.
