hi all, I have two piggies who I changed onto science selective pellets a month or so ago. They are both 8 months old. I give them a fresh bowl of pellets once a day, they immediately sit guzzling them all up, within 2 hours their bowls are empty. The piggies have unlimited hay and veggies once a day. The last few weeks they are almost relentless wheeking at me, front paws in their bowls, even tuffie tips his bowl upside down! I love it when they wheek at me so I'm certainly not complaining but I was wondering if I'm not feeding them enough? They seem to be begging for pellets! Or am I right that one bowl a day should be sufficient along with unlimited hay and a variety of veggies a day?

One bowl a day is enough now at their age.

:)) Pesky piggy! They will still wheek, a good idea is to get some speciality hay to give as a treat alongside normal hay something Like Timothy Hay or Oxbow Orchard grass

they are definitely trying their luck! :)) most piggies will beg for them i think. it's like sweets for kids! :))

what you could do is maybe split the veg feeding and do twice a day instead? then maybe add in more varieties of hay. i'd actually probably reduce the pellets even further as they are 8 months old - reduce gradually so they're eventually having around 1/8 cup max per day each :)
