Strange title, but that's what's going on! Amber finished a course of Baytril for a clicky chest on Wednesday, and seemed fine. We stopped syringe feeding on Thursday, as she was given a clean bill of health from the vet.
I just noticed today that she has lost weight since then, nothing too alarming-50g-but what has concerned me is that she is following Oscar around smelling his bum! She started with Daisy too, and she is eating other's poo's. Oscar did this when he was on anti-biotics too, but hers have stopped now. I did put a pro-biotic in their water, but none of them would drink it. I suspect she is trying to catch a fresh poo! :)>>>
So should I start syringe feeding Amber again? Or leave her alone? She's relatively bright, but I know she's not herself as she didn't eat the grated carrot I just handed out. The clicking in her chest has gone, thankfully.
Any advise gratefully received. I'm not horribly concerned, I think I now have gut instinct that tells me when they're really poorly. She's better than she was, and she has a vet appointment next week anyway. We'll obviously bring this forward if she gives me major cause for concern.
Advise gratefully received.

In one of the books I have on GP care the author mentions that he has seen his sick pigs eat the soft poop of the healthy pigs. Those poops are full of the good bacteria that hangs out in the digestive track. So basically they are a natural probiotic, and sick guineas sometimes seem to know that is what they need.
This may be especially important if they didn't drink the probiotic water. I've heard putting things in water can put piggies off of it and you also have the problem of not knowing who got how much of the medicine.
Not sure what advice to give re: whether to keep syringe feeding her but it is very important to keep weighing her to make sure there isn't anymore weight loss.
