Eating their hutch!

My neo and ash are nibbling their hutch..everywhere! At one point it looks like not long before the wire comes out!

Is there anything that tastes horrible that i can put on, to stop them, but that wont cause them any harm?

meant to say they have loads of toys, wooden nibble toys, balls, boxes etc..

Wash the hutch down with vinegar and provide them with shreddable distractions!
 
Eating their way free!

My GP's managed to chew their way out completely! I woke up one morning to find them free ranging in the garden.

Quick dash around, whilst half dressed to catch them! Thank God my garden is not overlooked or my neigbours would have had a right eyeful!

Haha thats what I'm expecting to find one day! My other 4 are no bother.. 1 eats the silver stuff (insulation) but otherwise no probs.. neo and ash are a right double act though.. out of all my boys they are the 2 that talk none stop.. we are always saying they are working out how to escape! :))

Bet that was a shock! good job your garden is enclosed.. otherwise would have been a run between the neighbours houses lol x
 
when we first put ours into new hutches, they did chew they quite a lot, but i think that was cos they went from cages and into hutches, so it was something new to them, but now they have stopped chewing on it altogether

All of mine do that rolleyes but the boys are the best about not doing it.

freddie and basil are the same they are eating ramp and top of landing i have bought loads of toys which all add up money wise no thats not good enough for them lol
 
My 3 boys all chew, Ive let them and they have stopped now but the new run looked a state in about 2 days!

Next time I might get a metal pen but Ive always had wooden as the tops of the metal ones would not of been secure enough when we had our dog. Now Id be worried about the local cats with the metal ones with mesh tops.

I find Its only boys who chew!
