Ebay cage for £99p

I saw an auction on Ebay 4ft x 2 ft cage for piggies starting bid 99p thought to myself nothing to loose have a go and i won it for 99p no other bidders. No picture of the cage was included the title was 'guinni pig cage' thought it was odd spelling it like that and due to the lack of a picture and no other feedback i decided to use the request postage costs from seller option to see if they get in touch. Heard nothing and its been two days now.

Not going to send my money until i hear back. If its all genuine i have got myself a bargain. Do you think I'm right to be a bit suspicious or am i being over cautious? I know its only 99p but the postage is a tenner. Which is still great deal but if its a hoax its 11 quid lost.
 
cant you just send the seller a question again? Seems a little odd to me. We have won stuff at the bargain start price before and they have been in contact straight away. I would try again I really hope it is a good bargain for you and they havent bottled out!

I used the request postage option even though i knew what it was. So its a message that has gone to them so its like asking a question. Bet they have bottled it with it going cheap. Their fault for not setting a reserve though.
 
If you hear nothing back after a week I would report as a no show. :)

You can't do that unless you've paid for it, they can report you you for non payment ...you've got 7 days to pay then they have 7 to dispatch
I'd send a message asking for an invoice....pay buy paypal then if they dont send you can get your money back :)
 
Really, I didn't know that. Still you can leave them a negative! >:D
 
yep....as long as you pay they don't have a leg to stand on......ebay will refund(paypal) and then you leave negative feedback >:D >:D
 
I used to run a book business with my Dad, we would buy and sell on Ebay and it was quite profitable. We found some Ian Fleming James Bond books and the buyer said they were mint and first additions. Well when they arrived they were not mint and book club first editions so not worth anything at all! :(

The pic the seller provided was of the books without dust jackets on so we should have smelt a rat then but we were so excited over the prospect of owning Ian Fleming first editions that we didn't really think at the time.

After contacting Ebay they didn't want to know and overall we lost £102.00! :tickedoff:

Still, you learn by experience and I think Ebay have gotten better over the years, this was in 2002, they seem to operate as a proper business now!

Sadly that's miss selling,false description and the seller should have refunded you.... :tickedoff:
 
Yep...I can laugh about it now as we really were stupid, but I am so weary now. No pic, no bid thats my policy. :)
 
there are some really dodgy things that go on now...unless someones got at least 1000000000000000000000000000 feedback I dont want to trust them

No invoice. Nothing. Wondering if it was some kid mucking about spelling 'Guinni' that way in the description its just how they would spell it like text talk. Will have to see if i hear anything in the next few days.
 
am sorry but we have a offer i wud like to cancel my bid becuz we have one in grimsby that is closer so sorry for the inconvienence

Yeah where was that line from ;D Hate text speak can never read it properly. Listen me i sound 71 not 31 lol ;D
 
I would mail her and ask if she can send you an invoice so you can pay for the hutch YOU won :)
 
Just makes me feel old....I know I need ironing ;D ;D ;D but it's all over my head :) :)
