Today when I went to the animals, I was shocked to see my new addition, a black rex called Ebony, had passed away overnight.
Yesterday she was full of beans and her usual cheeky and grumpy self, so it was totally unexpected. Much as I am curious to know why, I just want to lay her to rest and not put her body through an autopsy. Her boyfriend Bugs is coping well and already on the lookout for a new wife (trust him to pick a giant bun, ambitious methinks).

Ebbs, my Black Beauty, enjoy running free across those meadows at Rainbow Bridge, so sorry your time with me was only short, but I hope you know you were loved. If you see Leo on your travels, give him a kiss from mummy and tell him I'll see you all again one day xx
 
R.I.P Darling Ebony.

At least your last few days were in a loving and caring home with your mummy who loves you dearly.
Have fun at rainbow bridge sweetheart, til you meet your mummy again
