Just out of curiosity - can guinea pigs eat Edamame? I have a bag of them for myself in the freezer, if they are piggy friendly I don't mind sharing :D I tried looking this up before posting, but I kept getting mixed answers.

I’ve just tried to look online but there isn’t a lot of information on whether it is ok for them or not, so I am going to use @sport_billy phrase of ‘if in doubt, leave it out’, some people may give them but for me it’s not worth the risk while the information isn’t clear

Edemame are a type of soya bean and must be cooked before eaten as they can produce gas and bloating.
I wouldn't give my pigs anything out of the freezer anyway.
Google it for plenty more info. Any info saying bad for humans can generally be applied to Guinea pigs.

I've made it before , I was asking if guinea pigs can eat it. I've googled before asking, I didn't get much info which is why I asked on here. :)

Even if you have piggy safe veggies in the freezer please do not feed them. Piggies should be fed fresh veggies only and not frozen or cooked veggies

I don't normally freeze veggies, they always eat them fresh :)

Hmmm I would avoid anything like beans because of the choking hazard...but I’m not sure if others feed them to their piggies. If you can’t find anything then probably not.

I was wondering if they could eat them whole... but yes I agree, I'm going to keep them away from piggies
