Hi all

I was giving Eddie his monthly bath the other weekend when I found a small lump on his grease gland, it was about the size of a 5p

It felt quite hard so my first thought was a cyst, as a stroke of luck I was already going to the CCT the next day for one of their Dental Workshops and as Eddie has an on going dental issue I was going to be taking him anyway, so whilst I was there I got them to have a look. They also thought is was a Cyst but as it had now grown to the size of a 20p over night they thought it best if I left him with them to have it removed.

Got a call a few days later to say they really didn't like the look of it and as it was so close to the spine it would be best if it was done by one of their visiting vets.

The lump was removed and Eddie is doing fine but they said they had never seen a lump like it and they have removed thousands of them over the years.

So the assumption was that it was some kind of Tumour but as it came out cleanly there should be no problems

So fingers crossed for Eddie

Pictures of before and after, but some fool forgot to actually take a picture of the lump mallethead

Hope eddie has a swift and full recovery! He is the twin of my boy Jive :)) well done on noticing it so quickly! Did you enjoy the dental workshop?

Wishing Eddie a good recovery and very much good bye forever to that lump!

The Dental workshop was most interesting and helpful especially as Eddie only has one top incisor so will need his lower front incisors clipped every week for the rest of his life and as CCT is about a 120 mile round trip it will more than pay for itself with just doing his teeth.

Glad that Eddie is looking so well after his op and the area looks very clean! I'm sure that it will heal in no time. :)

Sending Eddie lots of healing vibes. x x

Poor Eddie. Hope he is better soon. Its amazing how quickly the hair grows back after they are shaved for ops.

Glad Eddie's recovering well, he is lovely x) & i think whoever stitched him would benefit from a few needlework classes :)

Guinea pig skin is quite "tough" to suture.
Anyway, his back end isn't his best feature, is it?
It would be different if the sutures were on his face!
