eddie smells really strong

i don't know if it is just his scent but i can always smell him (i do have an abnormally strong sense of smell though!)

i don't know how to describe the smell. it's kind of musty and poopy i suppose. :{ (i sniffed his poops though and i don't think it was those :red)

the smell isn't always really strong and then all of a sudden it's all i can smell rolleyes

he seems happy enough so i don't think there is anything wrong, but he can be very smelly bless him. :))

any ideas?

Is it definitely him, and not the cage? When one of my piggies had a UTI a couple of years ago he had really strong smelling urine. I could actually smell it from the other room.

If it is him, perhaps a bath would help?
 
Might be his scent being stronger as new home etc.... marking his territory :) I agree a bath not harm him see if makes him smell any sweeter :)

it's not a uti smell, more like a scent smell. definitely not the cage, although parts of it smell stronger when i change it, but it's not the urine patches thankfully. when he is on my knee i can't smell anything, he smells nice and clean, bits all look clean and ok.

i think it is his scent, although it isn't all the time. we think we smell it more when they are on fleece, so he might have been dragging his bum bum around more! he definitely doesn't smell like he needs a bath.

o/h said maybe gas? but he hasn't had anything gassy lately.

definitely smells 'scent/hormonal' to me. unless he is just one those smells i can smell more strongly than the others, because o/h can't smell anything.
 
I think hes more then likely been scent marking as new territory and got to assert some of his maleness over it :)
 
definitely scent related. made them an extra long tunnel last night with boxes and their normal tunnel and eddie was beyond excited, ran back and forth through it like a pig deranged and then seemed to claim it as his own! rolleyes :)) i could slightly smell that same smell again, but not as strong.
