Adult Guinea Pig
Friday is going to be an exciting day for us...a rescue in Eastbourne found me on FB - they saw my post on a local non-guinea rescue's wall who is a mutual friend, and messaged me to say they had a neutered boy needing a home!
His name is Waffle (love it, half my guineas are named after foodstuffs lol) and he is approx 9-12 months old they think. He is ginger, brown and white, very friendly, very vocal, and spends half his run time sniffing and making friends with piggies in the adjoining run!
He was done last Thursday so has some time to go yet before he can meet a lady, but we are going to see him Friday and if we like him (which no doubt we will) will be taking him home to stay here til he is ready to meet Snickers!
If they don't get on he will have to go back
but as the rescue is just that, a rescue, if he comes to us now it gives them space to take in another animal in need, and as I have experience of neutering aftercare they are happy for me to 'piggy sit' til the two can meet.
Eeek I am very excited, and keeping everything crossed in 6 weeks time they get on! Need to get the 'hutch with mesh wall' back out!
