No, it is in the pig room with my little babies! Cockroach!

Luckily, my little pigs were on the opposite side of the room when this happened. I have a terrible fear of bugs, so I trapped the stupid pest and called my dad to get rid of it. Dumb old pest tried to hide under the dresser! Cleaning the entire house tomorrow. Won't get much sleep tonight...

Awww.. very sad! I myself very much like little bugs and critters. The way I see it, no animal has the choice of body it was born into.. but I can sympathise with your creeped out feeling. I still get nervous at the thought of a spiddy dangling over me or 'little' people in my food stuffs. I hope the house cleaning proves quick and easy! The best way to deter cockroaches is to completely remove anything food related and keep those geepers EXTRA clean for a while. Cockroaches aren't generally solitary (depends on the species), though you do get adventurer onces who pioneer new lands for the good of their people... so if you don't find loads more you can breath a little easier but might wish to keep the place sparkley clean for a while longer.

p.s. the sign of a cockroach does not necessarily mean dirty! Cockroaches like clean too, as long as there is something to nibble somewhere!

Good luck!

p.s. geepers is Guinea pigs :P :P

I wouldn't like a cockroach near my little furries either. I can imagine you cleaning the whole room and house for sure.

I can imagine doing..

Eek...jump...run...jump...run back with brush or a heavy shoe! :))

I have half of a hamster ball (I have an electronic hamster), so I put that over it and placed a book on top of it. Good thing the pest control is coming this week. Last time they didn't spray near my pig cage because Peanut had a URI.
