eeks...

Wow well that's not been a resounding success. Phoebe is extremely vocal, lots of rumblestrutting from her and Donald. Donald turned into the world's biggest sex pest but she didn't spray him once, ended up with them having a little bit of a stand off and Donald teeth chattering any time she came near. However they will go nose to nose without fuss at times as well. In the end the commotion was stressing lily out too who retracted to a corner and headbutted anyone who went near her. I have decided to separate Phoebe and give them all time to calm down. After re-reading the bonding guides it could be that Phoebe is due to go in season so I will keep her separate for a week and try again next weekend

Bonding is so stressful when it’s your own piggies. I’m so much more relaxed when I’m helping do them for the rescue! Good idea to let them cool off and try again once the dust has settled.

Luckily we have the ferplast plaza. Phoebe's only in the 100cm part at the min as it was meant to be for one night. Going to get the extension for the 120cm down and figure out how the middle bit goes in to separate the two parts. I've thinking 10-15 mins an evening for donald to be in the separated bit to try and get them used to each other.

Just found Lily with a torn ear too, it wasn't like that when I took Phoebe out of the bonding session so must have been high tensions and I think Donald was annoying them all. All 3 are cosying up to each other now so perhaps just a bit of tension and a misjudged swipe

Gosh! Fun at games amongst the piggies in your house! She certainly seems comfortable with your other half at lap time.

She does. First thing I went to do this morning was check on her but the cage was open and she was gone! My fella got up 5 mins before me and plucked her from her cage, she was snuggled into his hoody watching TV with him

So piggy jail worked quite well. Popped Donald in for about 30 mins last night. Cue 20-25 mins of constant bar biting and everytime Phoebe came over it didn't take long for his teeth chattering to start. I had just about had enough and was going to take him out when the chattering stopped (actually stopped when Phoebe went and headbutted him to stop the bar biting). Donald then pancakes and proceeded with his dance, Phoebe joined in with a larger bum wiggle than his and then she literally sat on the bars so he could sniff her butt! I now have renewed hope that this will work out after all but time will tell.

Ahhh it's all gone up in the air. Lily doesn't like her but I think that was more lily trying to gain dominance over some pig. Donald pushes her to the point she lashes out and there was a full on spinning ball of fur but amazingly no bites on either of them. Trying her with just daisy on her own at the moment but to be honest I don't see it working out at the min

Nope. Daisy keeps seeking her out for aggressive behaviour and just tried to take a bite out her bum. I admit defeat with this one

That's a shame Kelly! Well at least you can't say you didn't try.

We definitely tried a lot! She is happy with Donald through the bars and there was a fair bit of popcorning in the kitchen from all 4 of them. I'm not massively experienced but from her reactions I would put it down to fear aggression which I mentioned to the rescue and they had the same feeling when she fell out with one they tried to bond her with. I feel heartbroken already as she is such a gorgeous piggy and she is so chilled out one on one with you. I'm sure the rescue will be able to pair her up sooner or later

She is so lovely - hope an acceptable companion can be found soon.
You’ve worked hard to help them bond so it must feel frustrating.
