Hello does anyone use clippers for trimming piggies hair? I just got some and by golly they are awesome! My wriggly pug hardly noticed his bum trim! But I was wondering if the clippers could potentially nip their skin if doing around the leg area/bum?

I’m totally converted...my son and I pressed the clippers into our hands and no nipping at all...got my piggy (who sits in his wee and is long haired) all trimmed up! 😍

Which brand did you get? Did you manage to do back end yet?

I only use clippers if I need to trim around wounds etc for easier cleaning, I just use scissors on my long haired piggies. I have wahl ones and they are really quiet.

Could you post a piccie of them please, it would really help my hair cutting guide for the Forum (which is near completion). Thanks!

Yes that's fine it won't be finished for a few weeks. I just have to put it all in the correct order now. It's taking a while to make sense of my jumbled notes :lol!:

I wonder if hair clippers would work on helping bloat ( the vibration through the handle) might to a 2 in 1 tool 👍

What I mean is, they could be used by gently rubbing the handle over your guinea pigs tummy area if you ever see bloat.

I use clippers on my rabbit and they are brilliant.
I have a small battery powered pair which are super quiet and have never had any issue with nicking his skin.
