My beautiful little laddies are all growed up! Such handsome boys they are too. They are due a bath at the weekend - don't tell them that though - and they desperately need it. They may look lovely but they are still boys! They just don't do keeping a clean, tidy house, and as a result they don't do much keeping themselves clean either...

I have not bought my boys anything for their birthday. They may think it is unfair, but being rescued piggies I do think they would approve of what I have done instead.

Elijah and Errol are sponsoring Rowntree at Becklen Guinea Pig Rescue. Instead of me spoiling my already very spoilt pigs, I decided I would extend my own pigs birthday celebrations with a rescue piggie. As such, Rowntree is being sponsored in Elijah and Errol's names.

So, three cheers for Elijah, Errol AND Rowntree!

P.S. I'm not so unfair to my own pigs that they don't even get a special birthday salad. And they love photo shoots, so that was their special treat this morning. :))

I still think of you whenever I catch some piggie lips, Glynis. And the boys really are the Kings of Piggie Lips now. Frankie used to be, but he's gone all stubborn and funny about his photo shoots. The boys love nothing more than tilting their heads just so...

Thanks for all the lovely replies. I can't believe they are 1 already either...mind you, I can't quite believe they are my piggies now. I remember seeing their baby photos a year ago and their names always stuck in my mind. I always wanted a red and white sheltie after seeing them, so I feel extra lucky to have not only got red and white shelties, but the immensely gorgeous Elijah and Errol themselves! I am forever grateful to Sophie for letting me adopt them, they mean the world to me and knowing that they were waiting for me as I worked through my difficult patch made a big difference. xx

My mum took pity on them not having any presents and bought them some dried herbs; I also took pity on them and ordered them something small as well as the things I've got for Rowntree. So they are getting something themselves, but they are still sending something special to Rowntree.

Becky has said that poor Rowntree is not doing well though, so the boys and me send lots of special hugs to him and hope he stays comfortable and peaceful. xx
 
Happy Birthday and what a lovely gesture to mark their birthday, guess that makes Rowntree their big brother now.

Elijah especially is a ladies man...so he likes to think. He tries flirting through the cage bars with Dexter's women and all it earns him is bewildered looks and a nip on the nose!
