A huge thank you to Sophie, who brought these lovely chaps to me this afternoon even though she has not been feeling too great. It was fabulous to catch up with you again. One of these days, I will come to yours!

Now I have the lads, I can officially introduce them to you all. They're 8 months old; I have been holding my breath and will do for a while yet (I feel such a novice!) as such a big change can upset some boars. Especially with them living above eight girls, I'm not going to relax until they have settled in for sure, but so far so good - only a few rumbles. Elijah seems to be very laid back and doesn't seem fazed by anything; Errol is a little more nosy and inquisitive but still very calm compared to most of my others!

Only a few quick photos today as I didn't want to bother them too much. I'm doing the September photo shoot for them all sometime in the next week or so, but I'll give the boys a chance to settle in first. Anyway, here goes...

Tucking into dinner! Coriander went down a treat, not too sure on courgette though.

When I joined the forum ten months ago, I had 8 pigs. Despite losing two, I've still managed to end up with 12 pigs! No more newbies for quite a while now. :))

i really am a sucker for ginger pigs :D soo sooo cute :)

Thank you all!

The boys are red and white shelties. They were born at Sophie's in January so hopefully she will know for sure, but they both have long, thick coats so I get the feeling that they are full shelties.

Red and white long haired pigs are my absolute favourite. Elijah and Errol stole my heart as soon as I saw them as tiny little pups, who would've guessed they would end up here after all!

For the first time, I kept their "rescue names", just had to come up with second names (which took a fair few days, to find normal names that were also types of apples to fit in with my boys' names theme!).

CONGRATULATIONS!

Oh, Laura, I know how much this means to you! I am so happy for you that I can welcome Errol Alexander and Elijah Ruben in their new home! (I love their second names!xoxo)

I'm very much looking forward to those amazing boys settling happily in their penthouse and to seeing more of them in your updates.

Best wishes
Wiebke

Congratulations hun they are soooooooo gorgeous!
I'm close to having a glynis piggy lips reaction!

xxxxxxxx

Bless you Wiebke, your words mean a lot to me. :)

And thank you Kira - I had the same reaction when I saw their photos too! To have them here is so exciting.

Many congratulations on your new additions Laura, the boys are gorgeous - they don't know how lucky they are to have found their forever home at the Humphreys residence!

Looking forward to hearing about their progress and to seeing some more photos.

Oh they are stunning x)x)x)x)x)x)

Ginger Ninjas and Shelties, I think it's high up there as one of my favourite mixes. I can see why you are so excited at finally getting them home.

Thanks for all the lovely replies!

The boys had a bit of floor time this morning, while I tidied everyones cages up. Errol is very outgoing already, he had a good potter around the room and tried chatting to Frankie & Meg's teddy through the bars. :))

Errol is definitely the dominant pig, after I put the boys back in their cage he was trying to mount Elijah. The odd rumble but nothing else as yet, and they will sit close to each other and share the log hidey without arguing. They do seem very close, and I am hoping that since Elijah is so laid back and relaxed, they will settle in ok.

I also figured out nicknames for them. Elijah was easy - he's naturally Eli. Errol was a tougher one to work out, but my mum came up with Roly and it seems to fit! Their hair is fabulous, both boys have a gorgeous wave in it.

A few new pictures too - enjoy!
And Glynis, beware the third photo of Eli!

Glynis will have fainting fit before she goes to bed! x)x)x)
They are absolute knock-out stunners, and I can't help being just that little bit jealous! mallethead

So now we know what you are up to when the twins are out... ;)

You, Sophie and Glynis are the boys honorary aunties - you are entitled to ask for updates and pictures any time you like!

It was so nice to spend a bit of time with the pigs without constant questions from one or other of the twins. I couldn't have done floor time this morning if the twins were about!

I've just got home and logged on, fantastic to see such lovely pictures of them already, I'm so glad they're finally with you. Lovely to see you too!

OMG I missed this one? I am having a quick guinea break from rushing about. So I have just noticed this one!

They are absolutely stunning lads. I love them. No time to read everything but everything seems to be going great!

Congratulations to you and them.

I passed on those kisses and Elijah's response was to go popcorning around the cage! They have just settled down together, fast asleep and curled up against each other inside one of the large pigloos. zzz
