Ellie - Possible Pyometra/tumour/cysts

One of my girls who has suspected pyometra bled in January time, the vet told us to keep an eye on her as sometimes it can just be a 'one off' thing.

Almost 3 months later, she bled again last night for the first time since then so we are taking her back in and are suspecting she will need a spay..

Just a warning as sometimes their bleeding can be a few weeks/months apart.

I hope it's nothing serious though, good luck Ellie xx

Thank you that's really helpful. We immediately thought something uterine as it was very similar to what her friend Terk had but it is now looking like it may be bladder related instead. Will keep an open mind though.

Ellie is booked in for a scan on Friday morning. I have to drop her off and leave her there but have booked the day off so I can pick her up as soon as she is done. She has a habit of hiding under her carrier liner and not eating.

Fingers crossed for you, having just gone through this with Guiness, I know what a worry it is- I hated going to work as I couldn't stand over the cage or have him on my lap 24 hrs - but how else do we pay the bills.

I really hope it is not too stressful for her.

She is quite laid back so hopefully will be ok. If they managed to get Millie Moo to stay still for her xray Ellie will be a doddle.

Sara am so sorry you lost Guiness.

Thank you. Must say she is a lot brighter but we will still get her scanned to rule out anything serious.

Dropped her off this morning, nightmare getting there, hit the school run. Going back at 2 and taking Mabel with me for her third Ivermectin injection.

We now have Amy with a UTI too so she is on Septrin, and Fuzzy looked like she was getting one too but I have tested her and it did not show anything, think she was a bit dehydrated and then sat in her wee so she was smelly. Nightmare getting a wee test from her though, she can jump out the bucket.

Oh no! Your poor babies are not doing well at the moment. It must be so worrying and stressful for you.

Yes it is a bit, was relieved on Fuzzy though. Going to see if the vet can give us a bottle of Septrin to dose as symptoms occur. This could all be linked to mycosis though as it can mimic other illnesses.

aww so glad it was a positive outcome :)
especially as it sounds like they're taking it in turns to worry their slave over health issues !
Speedy recovery to all your piggies. x

Thank you, yep they certainly are, am on mega alert at the moment.

Just make sure you take care of yourself too, sounds like you should grab any rest you can get with all that going on!

We don't want a poorly, worn out piggy slave
Take care & good luck with your piggies. xx

Thank you, doesn't help the OH shut his thumb in the door earlier too.
