We woke up this morning to find one of our piggies, Mister Hyde, dead and his cage mate, Doctor Jekyll, with dramatic weight loss and crusty eyes....

He seems alert is eating a little bit, drinking a bit, still pooping and weeing but obviously doesn't seem right in himself...

Got a 4:10 appointment please please send us any vibes you can spare

Best of luck! I hope that Doctor Jekyll can make it. I am sorry about the nasty shock of losing Mr Hyde.

URI can really hit at this time of the year when temperatures drop so much so suddenly.

Thank you all so much

The vet basically said he believes it's either a gut problem or a possibly a dental...
His heart and lungs sounded good.

Doctor Jekyll kept licking the scope so they couldn't get a very good look at his back teeth but from what the vet did see he thought it was more gut as he thought his teeth looked ok but wouldn't know more without putting him under, which, he didn't want to do with the weight loss....

Sent us back with some paste he has to have three times a day but if he doesn't gain weight/maintain his weight by Thursday to go back and he'll get knocked out for dental on Friday..

Really hope the paste works and he gets back to the fatty he was!
