Vet said it was probably something to do with the kidney or a small cyst.
I went into the shed around 3 (had been very busy all day so I didn't have a chance to go earlier) and I saw she was laying on her side with one of her legs up in the air desperate to get up.
My sister immeadiatly rung the vets and they said bring her in. We got her in and they said due to whatever it was it would of been the best thing to do (pts).
The vet asked me to say goodbye which was horrible. Sooty looked like she was trying to fight it but there was no way she could. I burst into tears and she brought sooty to the back door with me to say bye.
never want to do something like that again
I'm so sorry Sophie, had puter problems this late afternoon so only just managed to see this. Hope you are ok, it was just Sooty's time and at least she isn't suffering.

Oh no, I only just saw this - sorry to hear your sad news Sophie, it's a horrible thing to have to go through no matter how nice the vets are. At least you were able to be with her, try to think about the good bits when you had her rather than the last bit. Easier said than done I know.
We're so so sorry to hear about little Sooty :'( :'( :'(

I am so sorry, I know exactly the feeling, been through it 3 times. You've just got to remember that it is the kindest thing to do, even though it breaks our heart to do it. It is the final act of love an owner can do for a beloved pet in distress.
Our little darlings do have short lives and it is our job to make sure that their little lives were joyous and happy. You gave her a wonderful life.
Sorry, never got round to syaing thanks to everyone.
I believe it was having babies too late in life that caused the problem too.
At least we know she will never have to go thru any pain ever again.
