We had to rush our little Emma to be PTS at the vets before work this morning. She had been slowing down for a while but over the last 24 hours we noticed a sudden decline and a large drop in weight. She had arthritis but recently had a new zest for life after we started her on a joint supplement in addition to her pain meds. So it was a shock to see her go downhill so suddenly. She got up for her veg this morning but we could see it was a struggle.

I can't remember her actual gotcha day but she is in our Christmas line-up on here in 2012 so she was at least 5, we think nearer 6. She leaves behind her friends Truffle and Toffee who are going to miss her as much as we will. She had been unofficial top sow over the last few months since Mabel died and was very well respected. We always said she looked like a baby still as she was so small and cheeky. She loved begging for food at the girds and charging about in excitement at veg time.

We are going to miss her little face so much.

Sweet dreams beautiful girl. I hope Mabel, Phoebe and Barney were waiting for you.

BIG HUGS

I am so very sorry that yet another one of your crew has had to make their way to the Rainbow Bridge before the year is out. :(

RIP Emma

Oh Helen, I am so very sorry, she was such a sweetie, always loved seeing her photos on forum. She had the most perfect life with you both. Huge hugs to you x

Thank you everyone. Truffle and Toffee seem to be doing ok. We may look at bonding them with Robyn and her friend at some point as they know each other but will give them some time to grieve first.
