Encouraging foraging 🤔

My piggies eat all on the trays including the roots, that's why l use no soil or paper. You can recycle the plastic trays you get fruit and meats in,use 1 tray ,make lots of tiny holes in it,then put into another tray with out holes, put your seeds into top tray fill with water and let stand over night, next day drain off ,risie with fresh water, do that twice a day, in 3 days it will start to sprout, up to this stage keep tray cover ,it only needs moisture and warmth. It's OK to put on a window ledge for light, l have about a 7 day turn round, from seed to about 7" greens. My rack is in my tumble dryer room.

Did have a sudden thought last night though, I’ve got RB Arnie’s old tank which I’d bought an LED light (like that one) to upgrade before I decided to just have the one tank :hmm: Wondering if I could use that, just with the pots in the tank and the lights on for a few hours etc?! :hmm:

That's a good idea with the tank,,can you get hold of those stacking office trays they have on desk tops? Put inside to grow your seeds in.

Ooh I might be able to, I’ll have to get googling and see! :) Thanks, would be really good as pigs missing their grass at the moment!
 
My Bruno and ozzy demolish almost everything , think I’m their first owner as I got them from PAH. Bruno definitely does learn from ozzy though in their bond you often see Bruno following ozzy around a lot, they’re closely bonded even if they are crazy humping monkies sometimes! I’m sorry for your loss @Wiebke :( x
