Ginny has never been a big drinker in the many years I've had him. Is there any advice for encouraging to drink more? Thanks.

@CarnivalPiggy My bladder stone boar was like this. We did 4 things:

1) offer him water by syringe, but he rarely took it

2) wet his veg

3) fed more cucumber than is normal. My vet was okay with this as cucumber isn't usually something they have a lot of

4) found something that I could add to the water to make it more appealing. A lot of people recommend Ribena but my vet wasn't sure of that because of the additives and such. We found that he liked Tropicana 100% orange juice (only out of the small plastic bottles. He was a fussy monster). We made sure to make it really dilute but he would go through about 20ml a day. Which was a lot for him. The downside is that it needs changing multiple times a day and can't be left for long in summer as it goes off so quickly. But I decided it was worth it.

When I brought Agent Nibbles and the Mop home, Mop drank just fine but Agent Nibbles literally just would never drink. We started panicking. Wetting his veggies, and stuff.

A month later, I moved their water bottle down a couple notches.

Suddenly, everything was fine, he started drinking just like normal.

Stubborn little guy. He wanted his water positioned JUST SO.

Anywho, I doubt that's the case but it wouldn't hurt to move the water bottle around a little just to see? x)

Best of luck!

Ahah I can relate - Ginny has to move his head in an exact position while having a drink so if it's too high he doesn't drink too often. That's part of it :) It's not at the level of syringe feeding but it would be good to prevent anything forming from lack of water intake. He's often too lazy to get up if he's comfy lol as well

My two hardly ever drink water either, this summer I gave them cucumber twice a day as we had a horrendously hot summer but now they are deciding they don't like cucumber at the moment so I will be wetting their veg a bit.

Lol fussy piggies x
I think my main thing will be wetting the veg n a tad bit more cucumber unless he starts naturally drinking more
