Well I put the guinea pigs outside for the sunshine. The rabbits must have missed them and jumped in to say hello a few nose to nose meetings then they hopped out!Of course they also checked the 'house' out too! O0

Mine were oiut aswell, popcorning around. If i was you, i would make the walls higher because even if you are sat there with them, a rabbit couldstill injure one.

;) Please do not worry Tomcat the guinea pigs are VERY safe with the rabbits,as they all share the same run in the nice weather months outside!Domino & Muffin were only in there for about 30 seconds then of they went! O0

Even if they are used to each other and share a run, they can still kill a guinea pig.

Why do people always say this, not all rabbits are 'guinea pig killers'. My rabbits are very good with the guinea pigs,at firist I was worried about Muffin but she was new at the time! She even lets the guinea pigs take food from her,she just leaves them to the food! They have never been left in a confined space, which is when most accidents may happen! They have a huge run and their own hutches!

sorry if a little harsh but................

I agree with you Gaile.
Some of my rabbits are extremly good with my guineapig pigs, they prefer them to rabbits!
They are never puy in a small space, beacuse as yous aid "that's where most accidents happen" I see no problem with letting them go together as long as neitehr of them are aggressive and they have plenty of space! :)

i don't see anything wrong with it you know your pets better than anyone! ;)

I'm not having a go, all I'm saying is be careful as it can happen.

yeah, some rabbits, are good with pigs, however they are different animals after all, i don't want to get into a fight or offend anyone, but some REALLY don't get on, my cousins rabbit kicked their guinea to death, i personally, would never put a piggie with a bun, but if they are ok with each other, thats fine, and it's up, to you, just keep an eye, which i'm totally sure you do. :)

My friends bunny killed her pig by accident :( he just knocked him because he was bigger and it really hurt him apparently, they had to get him put down :( she said hers used to get on really well too, all I'm saying is accidents can happen x

:) my rabbits have never been nasty to the guinea pigs,it is ususally the guinea pigs pinching food from the rabbits. But i do take in all that is said,it can and does happen but this lot are really ok together. They don't really sit with each other much, they all do their own thing! But thanks for your concerns! O0 O0

I think what most people are trying to say is that rabbits+piggies together is like a dinosaur stepping on you, then realising what its done and saying "oops, sorry! didnt mean to!"

Apparently most accidents dont happen because of aggression between the animals, but because of the strong hindlegs. I mean no bunny has eyes in the back of their head, all it takes is one strong hop and the piggy has been kicked in a sensitive place, causing internal injuries... I think this is where most people here are coming from.
