Gryall
Junior Guinea Pig
Hey all!
I’m just after some advice- my pig is on his own after losing his brother a few months ago.
I constantly worry if he’s entertained enough- he’s got lots of comfy things to sleep in, plenty of hay, cardboard tubes, cardboard hideys for him to nibble. I hide his food in things every morning and evening, get him out for snuggles and try to let him have a wonder around on the floor on mats and set up cardboard hideys for him to explore every so often.
I’m just feeling guilty all the time about leaving him in his home. He is getting older (5 now) but I feel like there’s nothing for him to do once he’s found all his food, had a sleep, and chewed some cardboard. I feel guilty about not having him out with me all the time.
I wondered how you all keep your pigs entertained, or how you deal with these feelings if you also have them. I’d appreciate literally any advice you have to give.
(I also know most of you will recommend that he needs a new friend, and I’m looking into this, but there’s limited rescues where I live in the depths of Cornwall).
Enjoy the pics and hope to hear from some of you soon
