Gotta say at the minute my piggies seem to be sleeping a lot and not interested in much and I think it’s because they’re bored of their cage. Unfortunately don’t have any bags for them or boxes which has me stumped. I do forage balls and stuff but even those aren’t making them happy at the minute. Not to mention during floor time they just sit there now :( I’ve been feeling very tired and down but doing my best at the moment. Just feel like a bad owner :( what other enrichment can I offer?

Firstly you are doing a great job - your guinea pigs are safe and well cared for, and not every day needs to be a trip to a theme park (metaphorically speaking of course - not one should really take their guinea pig to an actual theme park).

There are some good ideas here:

However I find sometimes a handful of different hay, or some forage cut from outside, or scatter feeding the regular veg can provide entertainment.

Thank you for your reassurance :) I think I’ll scatter feed their veg, I haven’t done this before because Bruno is a greedy little bum and finds every way to hog (I wouldn’t be surprised if he went around collecting it all in his cheeks like a hamster!) will also order some Timothy hay to go in their hay sack. I just feel bad when they’re not playing as much because I feel like I’m not offering them enough

A lot will depend on their age as well.
I would say that they certainly slow down as they become older.

The difference between the activity levels of Harry (almost 3) and Ruby (almost 5) was huge!

The lovely sweet ruby! :), they’re about a year old which is why I thought they’d be more active then they are at the moment, I’m thinking they just need more variety but I’ve hit a wall with bags and boxes as I’ve been staying inside. I tell them when I buy McDonald’s it’s for them to have the huge bag rather than me cheating my diet :))

I only drink wine so the piggies can have the boxes :))
