Environmental health visit and guinea pig poops

A man from environmental health visited earlier to fit a sound recording device so I can record my noisy neighbours, however, upon moving the sofa to install the device, there were hundreds of poops where my piggies have free ranged. I was so embarrassed! They always go in the corner underneath my sofa so why I didnt think to clean there I'll never know. Environmental health too! What if they launch a complaint about me being unsanitary? I'm really upset and so hot on hygiene around my piggies who get a change of fleece every two days.

Did you explain that you have piggies ?
I’m sure they can see how clean everything is and will use common sense.
At least poops dry out and become hard pellets.

Thank you both. Yes, they knew I have piggies who live upstairs and used to free range downstairs. I keep everywhere so clean and tidy too! Pffft! Two of the little poop machines are busy eating hay as I write this. One is wrestling with a teddy bear.
