I have just had the girls out for a run and have noticed that Erin is slightly limping :( Well, at least I think she is!

We let her roam around the living room and OH thinks I am being paranoid as she is only doing it slightly. It seems to be her front right foot that she seems a little wobbly on. I have lightly squeezed all of her legs and feet and she is showing no sign of pain. I have also had a good look at her feet and all seems normal. She hasn't had any falls so couldn't have broken it plus surly if she had, she would be in pain especially when touched?

I have just put them all back in the hutch and she is sat there eating hay and roaming around as normal.

I am wondering if she may have pulled or sprained it or something?

Should I just keep an eye on her for now?

That's exactly what happened with Patch Claire - he seems to be on the mend now but I still have no idea what happened. Hope Erin will be ok x

It can't be any more than light sprain, and that can happen easily.

I wouldn't worry, especially if there are no wounds that can get infected.

Hoepfully, she will will back to normal in day or two.

Thank you. Erin was waiting for her tea earlier on so at least there is nothing wrong with her appetite :)

We are going away for the night tomorrow and my neighbours are looking after them. They are going to keep an eye on her for me.

I've had a few piggies with random, light limps over the years. Some have cleared up on their own, others I have given some pain relief to for a couple of days, but it always clears up without a problem. As you have checked her over and there's no signs of pain or anything unusual, odds are she's just sprained it lightly.

Hope you have a good evening away. xx

Thank you :) The first thing I did when we returned was check the animals and Erin now seems fine. Bill and Annie have kept a close eye on her for me. I have watched her walk around the living room and she appears to be back to normal. I have decided to leave them in their hutch for the rest of the day to give Erin the chance to rest her leg some more :)

I am glad that Erin is back to normal - I wouldn't keep them cooped up just for the sake of it! If Erin doesn't show any signs at all, she IS OK!
