Not sure if this is the right place to post this but... What are the best ways to find a list/escaped piggy? A member of my family moved the piggies to their outdoor inclosure today. When I got back, I noticed one side of the enclosure looked like it had been pushed outwards and found one of my sows was missing. Searched for hours but no luck

Is there any chance a dog has nosed the run in and taken your pig? Is your garden secure?

I only had pigs escape their run once when i inadvertantly placed it over a hollow - but the 2 pigs were just sitting very steadily nearby chomping grass - I'm not sure if many pigs would go too far - i expect you have checked under all your plants and bushes?

I can only really suggest you put some accesable hideys around your garden and hope the pigs take shelter in there - maybe pop a pic of the missing sow on your local facebook too.

What a worrying thing to happen - i do hope you have luck finding your pig. I dont know how far they can travel I'm afraid but i wouldnt have thought too far - their instinct will be to keep still and hidden i think.

Ps if you search up escaped pigs on this forum, there are lots of happy ending stories for pigs missing for hours so hopefully you will have luck!

Rustling bags is one idea mentioned. And one pig found in amongst a large bush so check all your big bushes very carefully

Check out the sticky thread in the Daily Care forum - “Keeping piggies safe during outdoor time.”

There is a section on what to do if one is lost.
Hope your piggy is soon found

Terribly sorry to hear. I do hope you are able to find them. Please keep us updated

I hope you found her.
Putting out a box or carrier near the run with hay and veggies might help.
I have also heard people playing guinea pig noises can draw them out.

Just caught this thread.

How terrible for you. Any luck finding her?
