Does anyone elses guinea pig constantly try and jump off the sofa so they can have a run around? Because with one of my females it's got to the point where I can't hold her without her wanting "floor time" and jumping off the settee not caring about her own safety.

It sounds like this could actually be quite dangerous for your guinea pig, so maybe try holding her while sitting on the floor instead.
This way if she does dash off she is less likely to injure herself.
Or maybe create a large floor time pen that you can sit inside with her.

I haven't been brave enough to hold ours on the sofa yet as they are still not overly happy being held. We do the same as suggested above and have a big floor time space that we sit in with them and get short cuddles. They do jump down but it means they are not jumping far

That's the thing though, i sit on the floor with her and she climbs, sit on the sofa and she jumps, set up a pen and she somehow knocks it down..... she just doesn't keep still like my other two...... I've now had nine guinea pigs since I was 7 and none of them have ever been so full on like her..... before I got Acer my youngest she even bullied her sister, she's a teddy when you cuddle her because her hairs so thick but other times she acts like a complete bi*ch 😂

Yup, I’ve had sofa jumpers and also have two pigs that can jump C&C grids. If they’re determined to go somewhere, nothing stands in their way!
