Essential oil diffuser

I know that piggies have a very sensitive sense of smell and very delicate respiratory systems and I wouldn't dream of having an essential oil diffuser in the same room as my piggies, but I wondered if there any guidelines or suggestions on how far away I should keep a diffuser away from them?

And are there any essential oils that shouldn't even be used in the same house as piggies?

I know eucalyptus can bring on drowsiness and may affect people who suffer from seizures, just as one example. Body weight affects the dosage. I think it is very difficult to calculate as the substance isn't in a measurable form the way a pill or a liquid would be.

Possibly if you can close the door and ventilate the rooms, that should help. Any "calming" oils could induce drowsiness in a small animal if they are exposed to a potent dose, but what the dose is isn't easy to determine.
