There are various piggy castle / hide items on Etsy I like the look of, but the ones in my price range seem to all be made from plywood.

Dash will nibble...he's sucked/eaten hanging fleece strips on the corner forest I made...he's nibbled all the way round his plastic hay tray and hide...he's stripped most of the outer layer off his log hide too. Basically he can't be trusted to have nice things!

Having had a bit of a search, it seems plywood isn't a great option for a nibbly piggy because of the potential glues the wood could be made with. But I've seen similar hides and castles cropping up around the forum in pictures.

Any advice lovely forum members?

Some piggies are definitely more nibbly than others, and it sounds like Dash is one of those boys.
In this case I agree with Clair W and would avoid adding anything with plywood or glue into his cage.

We have a plywood house, we have nibbley pigs however they don’t seem to do to much biting of the house... they prefer Correx 😂
This is the one we have, it is a firm favourite, but as said above may not be the best of you are worried about chewing! 15076738-FA93-48A8-B50B-EEB6A1C71F03.webp

How’s about getting a couple of large fiddlesticks tunnels? Raid your local supermarket for cardboard boxes and make a house. The boys use them as toilets  :))

We have a plywood house. I must admit, they have nibbled it a bit, but then they’ve also nibbled their correx, and the vet bed, and a lot of other things they probably shouldn’t nibble! Their previous house was supposedly piggy safe, but had big lumps of glue on it. Ours really love their plywood piggy palace! They do also love their fiddlesticks tunnel, so I’d recommend those too.

Thanks all. They have the log houses already and I'm regularly making interesting things out of all the cardboard items we seem to accumulate. I think it's more me that wants something else than them.

I'm lucky to have a handy hubby so maybe I'll see if he'll make me something bespoke just in case. I'll have to be patient though and get in the queue behind his other projects.
