don't quite come out as expected...

Activity: putting Rice Crispies from one bowl to the other
Rationale: practise fine motor skills and perfect the 'pincer' (thumb-forefinger grasp)
Level of difficulty: medium

1. Sit the child with 2 bowls, one with RCs and an empty one
2. Show child how to put Rcs into empty bowl
3. Marvel at your child's effort

This is what happened
1.emptied bowl on floor

2. picked up RCs from floor

3. ate the RCs

Bonus:
managed to stack the bowls together

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww x)

ROFL Audrey you didn't expect him to realise what you wanted him to do eh? rolleyes:(|)

It was a good idea tho :)

no, I did.... he's been really good at picking new things lately... in fact we were putting wooden blocks in a bucket just fine, but I think that was just a step too far... but it kept him busy and quiet ehich is rare in late afternoons... so I actually got what I wanted! hehehehe

Just wanted to add tho..............

If he can manage to pick them up off a shiny floor he's doing brilliantly !!!!

hahaha... shiny floor.... rofl.... it is clean, honest, otherwise I wouldn't let him eat off it! :p he picks up the tiniest pieces of hay from the floor... and eats them (I heard one should have fibre in their diet... )

Well that's perfecting the pincer picking them up right? And the motor skills of getting them in his mouth :)

What a cutie! Oliver is clearly one to think outside the box!

My friend in NZ used to put her one year old in one of those garden tubs for cheerio eating. It kept both cheerios and baby nicely contained (they have a dog so floors can be kinda hairy...)

Oliver must have had great fun watching mummies face when he spilled the rc's over the floor. :(|) He looks as though he is concentrating very hard. He is just adoreble.

:(|):(|):(|)

Looks like it was a LOT more fun Oliver's way!
