So why we are house sitting we have our piggy cages in the same room we sleep in as it’s a big open plan lounge/dining room, as well as all the other piggies.. and baby peacock.. no we don’t get much sleep lol!
Every morning around 5 or 6am I am awoken by a one of the 9 guinea pigs doing very fast laps of there cage, skidding through the tube, darting around the corners, crashing into their hideout and repeating it all for about 20 minutes! I assumed it was the guinea pig family (mum and 2 pups)-rescues!- as the babies are always full of energy. But today I decided to check it out and to my surprise it’s Opal! Opal and olive are such quiet and shy little pigs I’d never dream of it being either of them! Opal has recovered very well since I rescued her so I’m gathering she is just feeling very well, happy and full of energy
